Based on a successful pre study, MHWirth has been awarded a study in the Barents Sea by Rambøll Oil & Gas for the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA). MHWirth’s tasks are to assess appropriate drilling installations and drilling equipment for operations in harsh environment, including the HSE aspect. The time frame for the study is three years.

Kristiansand, Norway, July 14, 2016 – MHWirth has reached an agreement with AFGlobal Corporation to divest its Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) business through the sale of its subsidiary, Managed Pressure Operations (MPO). The transaction will be settled through a cash consideration of USD 10 million on closing, combined with an earn-out element, which could potentially reach USD 65 million over the next six years. Recently, a 26 000 square meter plant in Macaé was inaugurated during a ceremony attended by approximately 100 representatives from customers, other business partners, and authorities. The new plant represents a significant investment for MHWirth and shows our long-term commitment in the area.
